NeuroFamily Support Group
This 8-week programme supports parents and carers of neurodivergent children. Unlike other groups that focus on your child, here the focus is on your own needs. We foster a sense of community, reduce feelings of isolation, and provide a safe, judgment-free space for sharing experiences.
The group will be led by Ana Ray, qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, experienced group facilitator and mother of an 8-year-old autistic, ADHD and PDA child.
Who can attend?

This group is for parents and carers of neurodivergent children who are seeking a space to reflect on their parenting journey. I understand firsthand the daily challenges of advocating for your child, constantly thinking about their needs, and navigating the relentless opinions on 'shoulds' and 'should nots’ we are meant to conform to. But who is there to support you? Who is holding you through your parenting journey?
If you're experiencing burnout, feeling overwhelmed with heavy emotions or struggling with the weight of worries about the future, this is a place for you. Join other parents who share similar experiences, where we can engage in open, honest discussions about the challenges we face.
What does this therapeutic group look like?

This group is not a formal therapy session but rather a supportive space facilitated by a therapist, allowing for deep and honest conversations.
Each week, we will explore a different aspect of your experience while also providing an open space for you to share your thoughts and emotions if you choose to.
Sessions will be held once a week, lasting 1.5 hours each. You are welcome to engage in whatever way feels right for you—whether that means sharing, listening, moving, drawing, expressing emotions, or simply being present. All forms of participation are equally valued.
The group will consist of up to eight participants.

Where?
The groups will take place in a welcoming, fully accessible space in Hollingdean, Brighton. Free parking is available nearby, with paid parking options right outside or online/Zoom.
